Troy's Ski Apparel Founded in 1989 by Troy Teague of Roswell NM, Troy's Ski Apparel built a thriving business on the basic principles of providing the Best Selection of the Best Products at the Best Prices using the Best Service found anywhere.

For the first 14 years, Troy operated the business seasonally by setting up shop only during the winter months. At the end of Spring Break every season the store would be closed, packed up, and moved back to a warehouse in Roswell. Like clockwork, every Thanksgiving, Troy would return to Lubbock and set up his store in a vacant storefront somewhere in the Hub City.

In 2003 Troy retired and sold the business to Phillip Howard who resides in Lubbock. Phillip retained the name Troy's Ski Apparel, and continued to build on the traditions and business practices that made Troy's Ski Apparel famous on the South Plains. The biggest change Phillip made was to set up a permanent location for the business. The store still opens and closes every season (early Sept through early April), but no longer moves from location to location.

Having a permanent storefront has allowed Troy's to expand its selection and offer a wider range of products. Even with the change of ownership, Troy's has managed to expand its large following of customers by continuing to offer the best prices and the best selection on the South Plains. When Troy first came to Lubbock in 1989 he offered childrens bibs at $19.95 and you can walk in today, 19 years later, and still find childrens bibs for the same price!
